First off this is not a single core processor (which I was expecting), this is one fast computer. I thought 1.3ghz was just enough to do basic web and office application but I was way off. This things flies and run several apps with no problem. Even does HD youtube and 480p hulu. Boots quick and has a sweet recovery program that let you burn several recovery DVDs. The keyboard feels awesome, I went to costco to check out the 14in model and the keyboard felt a little weird but the one on the 13.3 feels great. There is a free pci-e slot right under the keyboard which is super easy to get to and I think but haven't confirmed yet, that there is again another free pci-e slot deeper in the mother board. I installed a boardcomm crystal hd chip and the beta 2.0 adobe flash 10.1 but didn't notice any difference in hd youtube and hulu playback (b/c the processor has plenty power) so I removed both and reverted back to flash 10 (if you don't the beta slows down flash videos without the boardcomm crystal hd chip fyi) Now if you are just writing papers, excels, ppts and surfing the web well expect more the just eight hours of battery life (awesome). Also installed installed the 1st gen x25-m 80gb ssd and this thing boots in secs and gets a few extra minutes of battery life. Now the reason I pick the timeline 13.3 over asus 13.3 12hr model is b/c the asus has a glossier screen and a wobbly battery which is unacceptable to me. There is "no real world use" difference between the Core 2 duo 1.3ghz and the Pentium Duo Core 1.3ghz, and another thing this computer is silent, I hate that annoying whine noise laptop cpu's make! The only noise that comes from this thing is a quite little fan that doesn't really come on.
